The Sophia Way is committed to providing women experiencing homelessness with the opportunity to move into permanent housing. Our caring staff interacts with each woman personally and provides resources customized to her needs and situation.
At our Day Center at Sophia’s Place, we offer a safe and warm environment where women can eat nourishing meals, do laundry, take showers, and use computers and phones.
Sophia’s Place is our 21-bed temporary shelter that provides the women with semi-private cubicles furnished with raised beds and individual lockers, as well as two healthy meals every day.
Holly House provides housing for six women, who live in community with one another. This facility supports the women as they learn skills needed to successfully manage their lives.
We help the women create and reach personal goals that lead to independent living. By supporting the women to move past surviving, they can begin rebuilding their lives to achieve their desired goals.
We try and meet the needs of the women by helping them to acquire new skills, access needed resources and develop the necessary tools to successfully move towards independent stable living.
Often, all it takes to make a difference in someone’s life is to have a companion who is accepting and a good listener. The Sophia Way Companion provides women emotional support on their journey.
