Fond Farewell

It was an emotional evening as we said fond goodbyes to two wonderful women – Angela Murray and Kavya Sarat – who after five years with The Sophia Way have left the organization for new endeavors. Sharing their stories, each spoke about their strong ties with the organization.

“I feel fortunate to have worked for such a vital mission and to have carried forward the spirit and vision of our founder. It has been particularly fulfilling to have been part of a team that was able to help change the lives of so many women. I want to thank the Board, the staff, and our community of donors and volunteers for their passion and support that helped us grow and extend our reach to help more women who are experiencing homelessness. I’m excited for the prospects of The Sophia Way under new leadership and fully expect to see greater levels of community impact and the stories of even more women who can regain their housing and their lives by reaching out to The Sophia Way.”
– Angela Murray

“I feel a deep friendship and connection with every one of you who are part of The Sophia Way. This organization has given me everything! It’s the only place I have worked my entire time in this country. Coming up with words to say goodbye is very difficult for me. I feel grateful, indebted, pleased, and proud to be a part of the mission that is truly changing lives. I could not have asked for anything better! This work has made me who I am today. Thank you for being a part of my journey, allowing me to learn from you and helping grow The Sophia Way. The best part – all of us had a lot of fun and joy doing this.
