Give Thanks And Give Back This Holiday Season

11_Holiday SeasonAre you looking for ways to get involved during the holiday season? We have some special holiday volunteer opportunities waiting for you!

We are in need of dinner donors for our Sophia’s Place Shelter and Emergency Winter Shelter. Sign up to provide dinner for Sophia’s Place in Bellevue (meal for 21) or our EWS in Kirkland (meal for approximately 25) or email for more info.

December opportunities

December 11 to 15 (timing is somewhat flexible): help us to sort, count, and bag gifts for the women in our programs. We are looking for ten volunteers throughout the week. Please let us know your specific availability.

December 13, morning-early afternoon: help us pick the gifts from the Microsoft Giving Trees. We will need an additional 10-15 volunteers, preferably with vehicles, to help us pick up the gifts from various buildings at Microsoft’s campus in Redmond and deliver them back to our office in Bellevue.

December 13, afternoon: help us sort and count gifts from the Microsoft Giving Trees. We would love at least 10 volunteers for this afternoon project.

We also have limited opportunities available for holiday decorating, performances, or other fun events for our clients.

Do you other ideas for a holiday project? Let us know!

Contact Volunteer Coordinator Tara Noyes at or call 425-463-6285 ext. 104 if you are interested or have any questions. These holiday spots tend to fill quickly, so don’t delay!
