Volunteer Spotlight: Cathy Relyea

“How can I help The Sophia Way?” is a frequent question we are asked. Supporters can donate shelter essentials, provide a meal, volunteer time or donate money.

2018-03_Cathy Relyea 800x533Cathy Relyea, a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, gives free makeovers and has donated cosmetics to the women in the shelter. Also, Cathy holds a yearly Holiday Bazaar that benefits The Sophia Way.

“Each year, when I hold my Holiday Bazaar, I ask my customers to donate something on Sophia Way’s wish list. In return, I give the donor a discount on their Mary Kay purchase.

I love delivering the donations to The Sophia Way, but even more, I am excited about increasing awareness of the organization. Every time I invite my customers to my Bazaar, I mention The Sophia Way, and the circle of support grows!”
