Bring items to our Donation Center on Wednesdays between 12 and 2 pm. Please email volunteer@sophiaway.org for drop-off details, including the location. 

We kindly ask that you do not bring items to our office or shelters.

Cold weather needs: warm socks, gloves, and hats, hand warmers, umbrellas, rain poncho, mini flashlight, emergency blankets, sleeping bags

Non-perishable snacks: fruit rolls-ups/ gummies, jerky, microwave popcorn, nuts, dried fruit, trail mix, rice cakes, chips, crackers, tea bags

Breakfast items: cereals, instant oatmeal, apple sauce, granola bars, coffee, tea bags

Shelf stable microwavable meals: canned (chili, spaghetti, soup, stew), cup noodles, microwavable macaroni

Cleaning essentials: hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, disinfecting wipes, toilet bowl cleaner

Everyday basics: kleenex, paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen garbage bags

We support women with compassion and respect their lived experiences. We endeavor to provide women with quality items that spark joy when they receive them. Before you donate, please read these guidelines to know if the items would be helpful.

  • Clothing should be suitable for women ages 18 to 80. Many of the women need sizes L and above; extra large sizes (3XL+) are greatly appreciated
  • Clothing need to be new or very gently used
  • Socks and underwear must be brand new (gently used bras are welcome)
  • Footwear must be flat or low-heeled
  • Toiletries must be new and unopened
  • Food items need to be at least four months from their the sell-by / best-by date

Donation of furniture: We don’t have the space to store furniture and rely on partners who assist with items when needed. Please consider donating furniture to:

If you have a vehicle that you no longer need, please consider donating it. We have partnered with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to make it easy for you to donate your vehicle and support women experiencing homelessness. Donations are tax-deductible.
