08 Feb Hopeful & Housing Confident!
“Having a safe environment and a caring case manager gave me the ability to work on myself and find my home.”
Claire, a home care aide, lived in her client’s home until a stroke changed everything. Without a job and a home, she lived in her car with her dog. A few months later, she made the difficult decision of placing her pup in foster care and sought shelter at Sophia’s Place. With the support of a compassionate case manager, Claire began rebuilding her life. Together, they created a plan to settle credit card debts and secured an affordable, dog-friendly apartment, beginning a new chapter in Claire’s life.
Dear Friends,
Claire is just one of 146 women whose lives you transformed by helping them move into their own homes in 2023. That’s a remarkable 14% increase from the previous year! We are grateful for your generosity in helping the women we serve to achieve greater stability.
Our latest quarterly client satisfaction survey revealed something truly inspiring – over 90% of the women at The Sophia Way’s two shelters expressed high confidence in finding housing through our programming. This incredible trust is a testament to the dedication of our case management team. They spend hours scouring listings, filling applications, and tirelessly following up on waitlists, all while keeping the needs of women at the forefront.
The trust that women place in us has fueled our ambition for 2024: to help 175 women find housing. We can’t achieve this without you. Will you join us in creating new beginnings for 175 women like Claire?
Your support can make all the difference.
